The mortal remains of slain gangster were finally consigned to flames at the Sanvrad village in Nagaur district.
The cremation rituals were carried out 20 days after his death as Anandpal’s family had frozen his body, while they were busy demanding a CBI investigation into this matter. The cremation ground was thronged by policemen and security personnel in large numbers.

A few days after Anandpal’s death, the Rajput community held a massive protest rally in the Sanvrad. The rally will be known as a violent agitation in which not only vehicles were vandalised but also injured more than 25 policemen.
However, understanding the necessity of the hour, the family agreed for cremation rituals. The body was consigned to flames yesterday at 7 pm in the presence of all family members. The body was consigned to flames by Anandpal’s nephew.
The police had maintained strict vigilance and monitoring during the cremation proceedings on Thursday.
As the internet services had been banned in the Sanvrad area, it had become very difficult for people to communicate. However, this was necessary in the wake of growing violence being fuelled by inciting and provoking messages sent on social media platforms like Whatsapp and Facebook.
Amid the cross-firing between police and Anandpal, a police officer named Sohan Singh was severely injured and had been hospitalized soon after.
The Rajput rally also damaged the railways tracks, in the wake of which the North Western Railways has filed a separate case. The police was also exposed to see an AK-47, three wireless sets and pistols with the Rajpur agitators. However, they have not been found to date. The police, however, is searching for these arms and ammunitions with the suspected individuals in the area.
