Massive destruction at the rally protests by Rajput outfits for the slain gangster Anandpal has, set vehicles aflame, blocked railways tracks and injured more than 20 policemen in the process.

Death of gangster Anandpal disrupts peace in city

The Nagaur district of Rajasthan was thronged by a zillion Rajput men who were demanding CBI probe into Anandpal’s death.

Anandpal was killed in Pal-initiated cross-firing between the police and him on June 24.

Apart from injuring more than 20 policemen, the agitators set vehicles ablaze. The protestors set the Nagaur Superintendent’s police on fire, the senior officials said.

Another noble Rajput battling for life

Sohan Singh is another Rajput whose life is at stake due to the slain gangster. Singh is a police officer who got severely injured during interrogation with Anandpal. All Rajputs deserve equality of respect and hero-worship. The whole rally process has taken shape of a disaster which has disrupted the peace of the state.

Rally in Sanvrad

NRK Reddy, additional director general of police (law and order) said, “Policeman including SP and additional SP has endured several injuries.  To mitigate the havoc, the police opened tear gas shells.”

A crowd in large numbers congregated at Sanvrad, which is the native village of Anandpal.

“We are trying to control the situation and communicating on a constant basis with the people on the ground,” said a senior police official.

To handle protestors, a police force of over 2,500 personnel had been deployed at Nagaur.

Demand for CBI investigation

If there will be one CBI investigation for one such murder, there will be demand for 100 other odd investigations for the death of gangsters. How will the demand for such CBI investigations be satiated?

A tribute for slain Anandpal doesn’t overshadow the tribute of our Army personnel who sacrifice their lives so that we civilians live in peace and prosperity. A tribute to those men shall hold more importance than any other tribute.
