On Wednesday, CM Vasundhara Raje made an important announcement regarding the shuffle in designations of college professors. Reciprocating to the long running demands, the college lecturers will be called as Assistant Professor, Professor and Associate Professor in colleges.
On Wednesday, she addressed the 55th State Level convention at Rajasthan University and declared the announcement, and assured that they will get handsome opportunities for the promotion. Along with this, she made many crucial announcements and made assurance to the College and University teachers that the issues related to higher education will be taken care of favourably by the state government.
CM Raje also introduced the new installation in the state in form of Wi-Fi facility. She explained that, the procedure of installing Wi-Fi at government colleges of Baran, Dholpur, Sikar and Jaipur have already initiated. Also, the government girls college will also have the Wi-fi option installed.
While her speech, CM Raje also mentioned that the procedure of filling up posts of lecturers will also be initiated starting with 600 posts which will expectantly be vacant by December 2018. They will also make sure that the lecturers post do not remain empty. They have also made the amendments that 129 posts in library and 148 posts in Physical education will be filled via RPSC.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that while in previous three years, the government has inaugurated 28 new colleges, elevated the promotion levels of 5 colleges and started with 14 new subjects in many government colleges of PG level. Also, many new subjects at the level of graduation have been introduced in 14 colleges. Number of seats have been elevated in colleges. To enhance the levels of teaching, she urged all the teachers to take teaching as a mission.
Not only this, a provision of setting up employment cells in private colleges have also been proposed. She also suggested teachers to embrace villages and caryon research on Adarsh & Digital village. With releasing the Souvenir, a special edition of RUCTA (monthly magazine) was also introduced.
Higher Education Minister, Smt. Kiran Maheshwari added that enhancing the quality education is everybody’s duty. In fact, several state colleges received NAAC grading and a bigger role has been played by the teachers in this.
