Congress is trying to make a comeback with Sachin Pilot’s Kisaan Nyay Yatra but their hopes have been crushed given the lukewarm response of the people of Jhalawar
If politics could have his own ‘King of No Work, only Drama’, Congress chiefs like Ashok Gehlot and novice Sachin Pilot will undoubtedly bag the title. The recent hype about Kisaan Nyay Yatra initiated by Sachin Pilot is another means of doing what Congress does best – incite public against the proficient ruling party.
Sachin Pilot claims to address farmer’s grievances whereas the reality hints back at Congress’ widely tried methods of provoking violence and anger amidst the common public.
Pilot also said, “The government is still sleeping. Through Kisaan Nyay Yatra we will expose how BJP goes back even on its written commitments.” However, what is noteworthy is the fact that while Congress was ruling, the state was devoid of any sympathetic feelings for the farmer community.
This ‘Kisaan Nyay Yatra’ comes in with a high dose of salt (and not just a pinch) is perhaps nothing but an astutely crafted political gimmick to flee votes in the upcoming assembly elections in 2018.
If, however, there was a real concern for the farmers, he would have taken action against it. Rather, he is having a good time with other companions. Today, Sachin was also highly ridiculed and mocked for bystanding and watching Rameshwar Dudi command his security-men to unlace his footwear.
Contrastingly, CM Raje seems to have successfully delivered beyond all promises made to the farmers. Discom tariffs were offloaded, electricity tariffs were subsidised and farmers were assured Minimum Selling Price (MSP) for their produce. Not only this, Raje led government accomplished almost all predetermined targets of development and infrastructure.
Sachin Pilot should fathom the situation and come back with real facts. Otherwise, he will become nothing more than a stock of laughter for not only Rajasthan but his own party members. Unreasonable and purposeless yatras like the Kisaan Nyay Yatra only hint at passing away time, if not more.
