BJP may have lost elections in Rajasthan but the party still has a winning spirit for the future. Union Minister of information and broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore says that the party lost elections in the state just for two reasons: First, there was a communication gap between the state government and people. Second, the government had very less time to interact with the people.

However, he appreciated the work done at the ground level by the former CM Vasundhara Raje. While speaking at a conclave, Rathore assured that the defeat in recent elections in three states do not mean that BJP will not come to power again.

Olympic medallist shooter, Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore is the Member of Parliament (MP) from Jaipur Rural. He joined BJP in 2014. In November 2014, he was made the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting ministry. Later, Rathore was appointed as Cabinet Minister with Independent charge for Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

Raje has a vision, Congress still learning

‘Vasundhara Raje has a vision, was determined and committed towards her work. But there was lack to time to connect with people. In the last few days ahead, hardly anything can be done.’ Rathore said. Further, he added that the victory of Congress Party in Rajasthan is not a big challenge for Modi government.

Rathore said that the Congress Party is still in learning mode. ‘Congress is just a synonym of corruption and party vice president is still in learning stage.’ Rathore added. The Congress got 99 seats out of 199 in the 15th assembly of Rajasthan. Party mandated two-time CM Ashok Gehlot to lead the assembly this time as well.

He said that the BJP government is generating employment opportunities, giving benefits to farmers and has built up toilets even in the interior of villages. ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government has tremendously done a lot of developmental work.’ Rathore added.
