Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development Programme Success Story

rsldc-ss-babulal-sainBabulal, a resident of Hanumangarh district faced the arduous conditions of fulfilling the economic needs of his family just after he finished his higher secondary education. Due to lack of employment opportunities and recognition for his skills, his confidence was falling weak.

rsldc-logo2014 brought the droves of hopes for him. He got the chance of getting registered under Rajasthan government’s skill development programme. Babulal got registered for Security Supervisor course run by Security Skill Council India Limited under Rural Skill Development Scheme. On the pathway of skill and livelihood development, he had dreams to get succeed. Hence, putting his diligence and loyalty into his work, he passed the security supervisor course in the year, 2015. Just even, completing this training, Babulal gained unbelievable confidence in him. In the year, 2015 itself, he got the chance of working as security supervisor in Security and Intelligence Service India.

Today, he is the source of financial support to his family with earning Rs. 17, 673. He is very grateful of skill development programme run by Rajasthan Skill and Livelihood Development scheme, provided by Rajasthan government. The programme has given him a way of life and upgraded his life status to a great extent.

We have the similar success story of skill development programme by Raje government. Shahnaj Banu belonged to a very poor family. She used to work in NAREGA. Her father earned Rs. 5000 per month. She studied till class 6th. Also, her husband didn’t earn much. After conceiving her first child, she decided that, even though she is less educated, but she will completely support her children’s education. But, she needed a stable job for all this. She always liked stitching but could hardly find any way out.

She soon heard about Rajasthan skill and livelihood development programme. She learned there the technique of garment construction in stitching. She learned the details of garment trade there and resultantly, just after completing the course, she enrolled into the employment. Today, she is employed in Sangam India Limited as Swing operator and earning Rs. 9000 per month. She intends to start her own small business in future. She enthusiastically gives all credit to free of cost skill development programme run by state government.
