    Uniforms are very important part of student’s life. Since childhood students wear uniform. Uniforms are meant to maintain the equality.  It is a way to make you look more disciplined and civilized. But, when it comes to professional life, people don’t like to follow the dress codes or wearing uniforms. rajasthan labour department

    Recently, Rajasthan Labour Department has asked its employees to not come to office wearing jeans and t-shirts as it goes against the “dignity” of the office. This even invited criticism from the state’s employees’ federation. Know the whole matter.

    Order issued by Rajasthan labour department commissioner Giriraj Singh Kushwaha

    An order is issued on June 21 by labour department which reads, “It is often seen that some officers/employees come to work in jeans, T-shirts and other indecent dresses which is disrespectful and against the dignity of the office. Therefore, it is expected of all the officers and employees that they, while maintaining the dignity of the department, come to office in decent clothes like pants and shirt.”

    Reaction of All Rajasthan Employees Federation (United) on circular rajasthan labour department

    After receiving this circular, the state employees’ association was unhappy. They asked what make jeans and T-shirt an indecent outfit. They called this order against the democratic norms as there are no such service rules in the state of Rajasthan. Hence, Federation president Gajendra Singh Rathore said that they would issue a memorandum to the labour commissioner in this regard and register our protest in a democratic manner.

    Well..  as the uniform issue had taken so much hype so labour commissioner Giriraj Singh Kushwaha justified the circular. He claimed to have issued such directions in the past also. This order would help in differentiating between the employees and the visitors. In fact, following dress code is a great way to maintain the office decorum.

    Undoubtedly, uniforms and dress code make people more responsible. It motivates them to follow their duties in a better way. In fact, many private companies and banks also keep a dress code. Hence, if dress code exists in organizations then employees must follow it.
