Rajasthan government has done a major reshuffle in its administration. It is a big step taken by the state government. In this administrative reshuffling, it has transferred 81 IAS officers including 15 district collectors. This major change came up after the government has appointed Devendra Bhushan Gupta as the new chief secretary of Rajasthan. This order has been issued by the Department of Personnel, Rajasthan Govt. IAS officers transfer 

Why has the new appointment been made?

This appointment has been made following the retirement of N C Goel.  N C Goel had served this position for the shortest term of four months. While D B Gupta will enjoy the position for long and will retire only in November 2020.

Who is D B Gupta? IAS officers transfer 

D B Gupta is 1983-batch IAS officer. He belongs to Jaipur and has done an MA in Economics and MBA to boot. During his career span of 5 years, he has worked at many prominent positions. He is the sixth chief secretary in present BJP government. He will also hold the position of Chairman, Rajasthan State Mines and Mineral Ltd, Udaipur, till further orders. IAS officers transfer

Details about reshuffling

In this reshuffling, the Additional Chief Secretary-Urban Development and Housing Mukesh Kumar Sharma is shifted to Finance, Excise and Taxation as ACS. IAS officers transfer 

MD Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation Raj Hans Upadhyay was transferred to Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation as MD while Commissioner in DIPR Anuprerna Kuntal has been shifted to Rajasthan Seed Corporation as its Managing Director. IAS officers transfer 

The transfers of ACS rank officials Khemraj Chaudhary, Jagdish Chandra Mohanty, Ravi Shankar Srivastava, Sudarshan Sethi, Subodh Agrawal and PK Goyal have been done. Other transfers in the list are of Divisional Commission of Jaipur, Udaipur and Ajmer and district collectors of Churu, Sawaimadhopur, Bikaner, Bharatpur, Rajsamand, Ajmer, Jaisalmer, Tonk, Kota, Dholpur, Bhilwara, Alwar, Hanumangarh, Sirohi and Bundi.
