The state government of Rajasthan is working hard for the growth of the state and for the benefits of the people. Rajasthan government always looks out for the ways to extend support to the natives with the policies. As urban housing is a big issue across the state so government will provide support to six lac homeless families. This will be done under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (urban) over the upcoming six months. For implementation of PMAY (urban) at Rajasthan, Local Self Government Department is responsible.
As per the government’s plan, 4 lakh applicants will be given direct beneficiary subsidy. While under public private partnership, credit link subsidy on loan interest will be given to 2 lac housing units.

To identify the no. of people to whom the benefits of the scheme is to be provided, a survey is being done. In Rajasthan, survey of 150 cities has been completed till now and a list of 4.34 lakh probable beneficiaries has accordingly been prepared by the department. Out of which, 44 thousand such application have been approved while remaining will be approved soon.

How is the financing for houses done?
These houses will be financed through multiple ways. Like, under the scheme for housing they will be aided upto ₹ 1.5 lacs. Under public private partnership model, credit link subsidy will be provided and housing units constructed by Housing Board, JDA and other local bodies.

Started by Government of India, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is a programme to ensure “Housing for all by 2022’’. There is also facility of a Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme on home loans. This is available to urban market belonging to Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Low Income Group (LIG) and Middle Income Group 1 & 2 (MIG).
