    Trees were swaying violently while lights were blinkering. The bad weather is expected to extend across 20 states, which are on alert following last week’s dust storm, which claimed more than 120 lives across five states.     Sandstorm in Rajasthan Weather Alert

    Rajasthan’s border witnessed a massive sandstorm on Monday evening, prior to which the India Meteorological Department has already alerted the public about a possible thunderstorm in several parts of north India. It also said that the winds could witness thunderstorm and squall on Tuesday with wind speed could scale up to 50-70 km per hour.

    According to a video, a sandstorm was approaching Khajuwala town in Rajasthan’s Bikaner district. The areas affected majorly were Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Bikaner. While the winds entered into the state via Khajuwala, Sri Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, and Bikaner, but according to Met, it is about to shift direction to Churu and Jodhpur.

    Just recently, CM Raje visited the village panchayat of Deeg Panchayat Samiti in Bharatpur district on Thursday, reaching out to the families of the people who lost their lives in the storm on May 2. Cheques worth Rs 4-4 lakh were disbursed to the families of the deceased. CM Raje also disbursed a sum of Rs. 5 lakh personal help to the victims.
