Rajasthan is known for its indomitable ability to attract tourists – the alluring architecture, magnanimous heritage properties, and a delightful hospitality.

To accentuate its beauty and attraction, the Wax Museum at Nahargarh Fort is all prepped up to imbibe the concept of robot tour guide, something which is quite prevalent in the West.

The robot aims at helping tourists to visit the museum. The robot tour guide is in its pilot stage and will be unveiled soon at the museum.

Anoop Srivastava, founder-director, Jaipur Wax Museum also informed that Wax Museum at Nahargarh Fort is the first wax museum across the country to be equipped with the robot tour guide.

“I always believe in introducing something innovative to the tourists. Thus, the idea of intelligent humanoid robot tour guide came to my mind. The whole process of designing and building this handsome white robot took about a year to take shape,” he said.

“At the moment, the robot only understands the English language, but soon Hindi also will be added as a language in the software. The height of this robot is 5 ft 10 inches and it weighs 80kg. The head of the robot moves around 28 degrees. The head can move left and right. The fingers, elbows, and shoulders can also move. We are also working on image recognition, face recognition, infrared tracking, and posture simulation,” he added.
