In the honour of Maharao Shekhaji, the founder of Shekhawati community, the Vasundhara Raje government is going to construct a grand panorama in the state. The panorama will be constructed in the Amarsar district of Jaipur whereby the life story of Maharao Shekha will be narrated. In order to express their gratitude, the Shekhawati community organised a program on Wednesday where CM Raje was invited as the special guest.
The program was held at Sheraton Hotel of Jaipur to thank CM Raje for her warm gesture. The community also welcomed the decision of government to establish a Military Training School in Ralawat. People belonging to the community from various regions welcomed CM Raje by draping a shawl on her.
Addressing the Shekhawati Community, CM Vasundhara Raje talked at length about Maharao Shekhaji and his legacy. She said that Rajasthan’s proud History is our identity and we have to make sure that our future is dignified as well. She emphasized on the need to preserve the legacy of great men and saints for the future generations to ensure a prosperous future.
CM Raje talked about the efficiency and secular nature of Maharao Shekha. She mentioned as to how Shekhaji always gave top priority to respecting women and exemplified societal harmony for others to follow. The panorama constructed in the memory of Shekaji will help the coming generations to get in touch with the rich legacy.
In the program, the Assembly Vice President Shri Rao Rajendra Singh gifted the book titled Kshatriya Rajvansh to CM Raje. Other people present in the program include Village Development and Gram Panchayat Leader Rajendra Rathod, Industrial Minister Rajpal Singh Shekhawat, Forest and Environment Minister Gajendra Singh Kheenwsar, Rajasthan State Heritage Protection and Promotion Authority President Omkar Singh Lakhawat, MLA Prem Singh Bajor and other dignitaries.
It’s important to note that lately the Rajput community has been miffed with the Raje government owing to incidents like Anandpal encounter. However, with the announcement of this panorama and all possible help from CM Raje to the community, the Rajputs have thanked Raje government apparently bridging the gap in between.
