Mr Gandhi with his 'Jija Ji'.

Rajasthan state is well known for its rich cultural and traditional values. Rajasthani strictly follows a custom of exceptionally respecting their ‘Jamaai Ji’ and ‘Jija Ji’ (Sons-in-law and brothers-in-law). People of Rajasthan are known for their capacity to fulfill all the demands and desires of Jamaai Ji or Jija Ji. Therefore our newly-appointed chief minister Ashok Gehlot and his government did the same to Congress’s “Jija Ji”- Mr. Robert Vadra.

Higher Education Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati

Rajasthan’s higher education minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati has given Vadra the clean chit by saying that the issue was just political propaganda by the BJP. Even the Robert Vadra’s role is under the scanner in this money laundering probe in Bikaner land scam, Bhati said that there is no default in the land purchase.

‘The BJP used this issue to debilitate the Congress party.’ said Bhati, who comes as MLA from Kolayat constituency of Bikaner district. It should be noted that Kolayat is the same place where Rahul Gandhi’s “Jija Ji” Mr. Robert Vadra’s company procured the land.

ED’s latest action in the probe

According to the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Vadra-owned Skylight Hospitality had purchased 69.55 hectares of land for Rs 72 lakh and then sold it to Allegeny Finlease for Rs 5.15 crore, earning a profit of Rs 4.43 crore. The agency registered a criminal case under the Money Laundering Act in 2015, taking cognizance of a case filed by the Rajasthan Police following forgery allegations in the allotment of land in the area, considered sensitive due to its proximity to the Indo-Pak border.

In 2017, ED had arrested two accused during the probe. Today, after Bhati’s statement, the Ed moved a Delhi court seeking issuance of open-ended non-bailable warrant against Manoj Arora, a close aide of Robert Vadra, in a money laundering case. ED told the court that Arora failed to appear for questioning despite repeated summonses.

Congress party worked “hard” to win this election resulting 99 seats and one grace from BSP. Moreover, after coming to power, the Congress started working vigorously for the welfare (their own). Meanwhile, Minister Bhanwar Singh Bhati followed the tradition and “Jija Ji” gets his presage on this precious occasion for the party.
